FAQ’s

What time does the workshop start and end?
9am-3pm + Friday Performance at 6:00

What happens on a typical day?
Private and small group lesson in the mornings, and rehearsing with your band in the afternoon.
Friday you'll rehearse in the morning and put on a show in the evening!

What should students bring?
They should bring a notebook and pen, water bottle, snack, and lunch.
We have drums, keyboards, and amps here, so no need to bring those.
Drummers should bring drumsticks, guitarists should bring their guitars, bassists should bring their bass guitars, and keyboardists and singers just need to show up.

What's the story with lunch?
Students should pack a lunch each day. Students get 45 minutes for lunch, but they are required to remain at the school.

When is the performance?
The performance happens on the last day, Friday at 6:00PM (read below for more info about Friday's plan)

Where is the performance?
Our show will be at awesome local venue, Exhibit 'A' Brewing Company, located exactly 1 mile from the school at 81 Morton Street, Framingham.

Who can I bring to the performance?
We encourage students to invite as many family members and friends to the show as they would like.

Can a student take a lesson on a different instrument just to try it out?
Absolutely! We encourage our students to try out different instruments if they would like to.

CANCELLATION
You may cancel your enrollment for a full refund up until 2 weeks before the start of the camp.
If you cancel within 2 weeks of the start of the camp, you will be subject to a $150 cancellation fee.
This fee helps to ensure that we can still run the camp for the remaining campers. If there are students on a waiting list, or if you have a friend who will take the student’s place in the camp, we are more than happy to waive the fee.

ALLERGIES
Please inform us about any allergies we should be aware of.

If necessary, I will ask students to plan their lunches and snacks to avoid certain ingredients.

Thank you for understanding that safety is our top priority, while inclusion is also important to us, and we do not have an easy way of separating kids during snack and lunch times.

FRIDAY PERFORMANCE
Exhibit 'A' Brewing Company is a really cool venue that we have partnered with for our camp performances as well as to host a bi-monthly open mic. Located at 81 Morton Street in Framingham, it's only a mile down the road from the school, which also makes it very convenient!
Because the performance is at 6:00, you have a couple options for the time between when the camp ends on Friday and when the gig begins. You will have the option to pick up your kids at 3:00, and bring them to Exhibit 'A' at 5:30, or they could stay at the school to watch "School of Rock", the movie, and have pizza for dinner. If they choose to stay for the movie and pizza, you could then pick them up around 5:15 to bring them to the venue, or you can sign a permission slip that would allow me to drive them to the venue.
We will outline these options again at the start of the camp and ask for everyone’s plan by mid-week.
